Chad F. Cope
Chad Foster Cope was born on February 12th, 1979 and grew up in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
He was a graduate of both Trinity High School (’97) and Penn State University (’06). Chad was a U.S Army veteran of the Iraq War and served in the 101st Airborne Battalion. Proud to serve others Chad knew he wanted a profession where he could demonstrate his passion to make a difference. His motivation, knowledge and capacity to win the hearts of others led him to a career in Governmental Affairs. Chad’s loyalty, unparalleled work ethic and infectious smile afforded him a world of opportunity. On October 5th, 2011 a true hero passed on leaving behind his enthusiasm for life. Because of the generosity of family, friends and donors like yourself, Chad’s legacy continues to be realized through the good work of NFP.
The funds to The Chad Cope Memorial Fund shall be “temporarily restricted” as follows:
- For use in supporting education and activities to raise awareness of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and/or issues facing our returning military; and
- To provide a stipend for students on internships studying government relations.
Chad Cope’s memory will be honored annually through: (a) Recognition in NFP’s Annual Report listing of funds; (b) Features/highlights of gifts made to the Chad Cope Memorial Fund; and (c) Appropriate recognition of the Fund at NFP’s donor recognition event(s).
